Senior Portraits

I had the pleasure of shooting Miss Maycen Crawford as my first senior for the class of 2014. She is my first Senior Rep I am offering for the first time. She got a discount on her session and can earn discounts on prints/products for each referral! There were so many good shots because Maycen has a great personality and a beautiful smile. I have posted a couple of galleries of Maycen's session. Please check them out! And if you are interested in booking your senior photos, please contact myself or Maycen! I am also interested in having other reps from surrounding schools, so contact me about that too. My main goal with senior portraits is to bring out their personality with their session. From the outfits you choose to the props we use.. their new cars, their band instruments, dance, art, cheer, whatever it is. We can go to locations of your choice or places that work with your style that I choose. I have one coming up that we are going to incorporate her love for mud riding of four-wheelers..how fun will that be? :) My prices are reasonable, you get a package that includes an 11X14 collage for framing, and my print/products are affordable. BUT that doesn't mean you don't get quality, professional photos, I just want everyone to be able to afford HotShotz :)

This part of the shoot was with Maycen's grandfather's saddle. I hope I captured it the way they wanted and they can treasure it for years to come.

Invite Me to Your Birthday Party!

One service I am enjoying offering are birthday parties (and showers). THis past Saturday I shot Miss Riley's birthday party at the Yoder Community Center. I love seeing what people come up with for themes, etc. Riley and her friends had music going, glow sticks, painted fluorescent nails, face paint and black lights. Disks or Print Orders? Let me know ur thoughts...

This is something I have debated with myself over and over. Of course for events and birthday parties CDs are the way to go. For portrait sessions and weddings and seniors I have also given pics on CDs, because I think the majority wants that. But part of me would rather offer prints and print products and present proofs on CDs. That way I know my work is being printed by a good lab. Especially the bigger sessions. Maybe offer an edited cd at an additional charge in addition to the session fee... Something to think about..let me know your thoughts. Let's try this again-Third times a charm right?

Wow! I didnt realize blogging would be that hard a thing to fit in..but it is! Now that school is out, Im almost caught up on my whirlwind April and May, Im ready to settle into this blog thing. My main reason for wanting a blog is to add a more personal touch to my photography. Yes, I post sneak peeks on facebook for clients, but alot of times that feels so impersonal. I thought if I write something about each session, it will let that client know they were special..not just an hour or two out of my time :) Sometimes we get caught up in the shoot and in a hurry to get it done, it feels like on autopilot and thats not what it is. Each client is special and I appreciate each and every one of you. This is a shot from a shoot with my youngest Sydney. Sometimes when I get an idea and need an immediate subject to make it happen, she's my go to girl ;)

SO after each shoot I will post a pic or two from the session or event in addition to the facebook page!

I tried to start a blog last year and I bombed so this is me trying it again! I would rather talk about my shoots and share experiences here. You can always see more examples and sneek peeks on my facebook page HotShotz Photography! I cant wait to see what 2013 has in store for my photography. Hopefully even more awesome shoots with my wonderful clients. Already I am looking forward to another shoot at Park Avenue ELem. during Sports Night and what is going to be a gorgeous wedding with my favorite couple, JR and Sable in April.
